~~~
Yesterday night marked the release of the video and single for the 25th anniversary remake of the monumental song "We Are The World". I won't write much about it, but I have to say that I love it as much as I love the original. Still sent shivers down my spine from listening to all the talent involved this time around.
++ Fly Me To The M O O N
そしてこれにつづく...
~~~

For a while now, I've been listening to a lot of oldies songs. I guess I just want to listen to those songs that paved the way to make the musicians we see today. In my playlist I've got songs from Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Little Richard, James Brown, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Every single one of these artists are truly the pioneers of the music we listen to today. Their songs are so amazing that I can never get sick of listening to them. Timeless music that will never be forgotten.

Their songs are definitely something I aspire to one day. I really love how they express themselves in each song, how they tell their stories or share their experiences through music. It's something I'd love to be able to do one day, to write music or draw/paint pictures to share with the world. But I guess we all have to start somewhere so hopefully if I work hard enough and persist, eventually I'll get there someday right?

There are so many songs of theirs I want to talk about right now, but that'd be way too much to write. So I'll limit myself to the one song I've loved for an incredibly long time, "Fly Me to the Moon" by Nat King Cole. I first heard this song back in 1995 from the ending sequence of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion and instantly fell in love with it. Out of all the renditions, I kinda prefer Nat King Cole's version over Frank Sinatra/Quincy Jones' swing-inspired one. It's just so hard to explain why I love this song so much, because there's just so much to talk about; the dreamy lyrics, vivid imagery and magical melodies. I guess Nat King Cole says it perfectly in the opening portion to the song:

"Poets often use many words
to say a simple thing.
It takes thought and time and rhyme
To make a poem sing.

With music and words I've been playing
For you, I have written a song.
To be sure that you'll know what I'm saying,
I'll translate as I go along..."

If you ever get the time, you should really listen to this song.

++ Music & M E

そしてこれにつづく...

~~~
Alright, so today I'm just going to vent a bit of my frustrations here about the current state of the pop music industry.
I've been so frustrated with the decline in music quality over the years. It's become so much trash nowadays that it is almost embarrassing to listen to some of the songs that are coming out. There is no such thing as the conscious musician anymore, just mindless pop singers and dancers. These "singers" sing songs that become majour hits, break records and earn them various awards that they honestly don't deserve. Take for instance the current chart topper, TiK ToK by Ke$ha. It's been at the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles charts since the 2nd of January, a little over a month by now. It has broken the number of US digital sales for a female artist since 2003 and also the record for Billboards Pop Songs radio airplay chart by getting more than 11,224 plays in a week. This being a song about getting drunk, partying it up and just plain getting wasted by the end of the night. Then you've got others like Lady Gaga, Flo Rida, David Guetta and the list goes on. Even acts that have been around for a while take note of this current trend and "dumb-down" their musical content to an all-time low to get to an all-time high point in their career, e.g. The Black Eyed Peas.
Since my taste in music centres around RnB, Hip-Hop and maybe a bit of pop, I'll be centralising my discussion around it. So then, let's compare the songs from the past few years to the classics from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and maybe up until the 90s. In the 50s you'd have influential artists like Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley. The 60s brought The Beatles, the whole Motown label, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones. In the 70s you have Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, AC/DC, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye. In the 80s there was Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Housten, Janet Jackson, Luther Vandross, Run D.M.C., Beastie Boys, NWA. 90s had Boyz II Men, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Usher, D'Angelo, Aaliyah, R. Kelly, TLC, Seal, Brandy, Monica, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston. And then even in the early 2000s, we had acts like Ne-yo, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Craig David. Over that long history of music, music slowly degraded to the state that it is in now.
These days, there are hardly any songs that could be considered classics 20-30 years in the future. For example, where are the songs these days that are like; Unforgettable/Mona Lisa/Smile/Fly Me To The Moon by Nat King Cole, Georgia On My Mind/Hit The Road Jack by Ray Charles, Ain't No Mountain High Enough/I Heard It Through The Grapevine by Marvin Gaye and Co., Isn't She Lovely/Superstition/Higher Ground/I Just Called To Say I Love You by Stevie Wonder. Nothing that has come out within the past few years can compare musically to these true artists or any of their musical creations and adaptions. How can you compare Lady Gaga's Bad Romance to Marvin Gaye's Sexual Healing, or Flo Rida's Low to Common's I Love H.E.R., or Ke$ha's Tik Tok to Michael Jackson's Thriller. There is no comparison artistically. It's now all about partying hard, having crazy sex and getting trashed. It's a shame really.
I haven't even started yet, I could say so much more but I haven't. It's something that has been bothering me for so long and I hope that things can only get better now. Otherwise I'll just have to stick to these classic songs and just ignore the stupidity of the industry for the time being. Glad to atleast get some of that off my chest haha.
++ Wanna Be Startin' S O M E T H I N '
そしてこれにつづく...
~~~

So, instead of rotting away my brain during these long holidays, I decided to pick up some anatomy books to read again. Back when I started out drawing, I read quite a few how-to-draw, drawing techniques and anatomy books. It was a few years back when I read them, so I'm not sure how much I actually got out of reading those books. But now I've motivated myself to pick up my slack and start reading through some books thoroughly to improve myself.

Currently I'm reading Figure Drawing For All it's Worth (1943) by a man called Andrew Loomis. The book is simply amazing. His writing is so in-depth yet is easy enough to understand without any worries that you'd be confused or lost in his descriptions. His approach in detail is really effective too, emphasizing to the reader that they should draw the way they feel most comfortable. Loomis gives very clear guidlines to follow yet allows for enough creative freedom from the reader that they are able to apply their own styles to each "lesson" he gives. The diagrams he draws out too are very well done, motivating the reader to continue reading and aspire to Loomis' talent. I'm definitely going to stick to his books for the time being, to get as much out of it as I can. I've got my hands on his whole catalogue, so there's quite a bit of reading to do, but I honestly don't mind reading his works. Though it's going to be a very thorough workout! For sure! hahaha.

...And so let me leave you with a quote I read recently,
"The best time to plant a seed was 20 years ago. The second best time is now"
We should all work our best now, so that hopefully we can look back on ourselves in the future to see how much we've grown.
I wish everyone luck for the future! (:

++ U Remind M E

そしてこれにつづく...

~~~
Hmmm.. just had a thought. Since this is MY personal blog, why not just post about the things that I'm totally interested in... hmmmmm.. well sounds like a good idea I guess..? </sarcasm>
DAMMIT, I have no idea why I haven't really embraced this blog as much as I should have. It really does feel good to put shit here for a pseudo-audience to read haha. So I've decided to dedicate most of my posts to my interests in life, also to post some not-so-general knowledge stuff about things like music/art and whatever else I know, haha.
ANYWAY onto news!!
OMG, USHER AND CHILLI BACK TOGETHER?!? Wow, never thought that would happen, especially after the highly publicized relationship Usher had with Tameka and the whole divorce mess he got himself into afterwards. And then his decision to have that fling with the older Def Jam exec, Grace. Man, Usher seemed to be liking his older women!
But yeah, I've always thought Usher and Chilli made a good couple before. I'm kinda mixed about this news now though. Not sure why, maybe because of the decisions Usher has made since his breakup with her in Dec 2003. You messed up bro!
Here's a little something from Kanye that I read again after a friend reminded me of it on facebook
. This dude, no matter how egotistical he can be sometimes, definitely speaks from his heart. I've definitely got a whole heap of respect for this guy, always have. Not many people would be able to do the things he is doing. By that I mean to be able to stand up tall and speak the truth even though he is under so much public scrutiny. I feel for this guy sometimes too. He really does represent a realist in a ludicrously abused industry, a rarity in this day in age. I can definitely understand his desire to make that mini-movie he published online a few months ago. Kanye, keep doing what you do bro!
Talking about Kanye, to all you haters/borderliners or even to those that like him a bit, let me present to you my throwback video of the day. I absolutely love this song of his. A little history to some of you out there: Before Kanye's breakout album "The College Dropout (2004)", Kanye worked closely with Roc-A-Fella Records, which was at the time being managed by none other than Jay-Z. He was a key producer in Jay-Z's highly successful "The Blueprint (2001)" album, though found it very hard to get support from the music industry as a rapper. Kanye was only ever acknowleged as a producer and nothing else, a.k.a. the guy that makes the music behind-the-scenes and is almost always never known by the general public. He felt that he was never properly acknowledged for the works he had done. Jay-Z's thanks to him for working on his critically acclaimed and commercially successful album was two front-row tickets to his show... that Kanye had to pay for himself. A year after his work on "The Blueprint", Kanye was involved with a car crash which almost took his life. This gave him the motivation to make his first single, "Through the Wire", the song to which I posted the video link to. Only a few months after he suffered the accident, Kanye decides to head into the studio to record this song.. WITH WIRES ALL THROUGH HIS MOUTH AND JAW. My case in point, this man speaks the truth. You can't tell me that what he says in this song wasn't from his heart.
Anyway, that's all from me today. Hope you guys enjoyed this blog posts change in pace! (:
Also, hoping the two of them really like my presents! D:
Glad I was able to buy present no.1 in time to make her feel better. Though present no.2 may arrive a day or two late.. But I hope she likes it when she gets it in the mail! o:
Thought I'd just post something here since I haven't in a long while! (:
P.S. If ya didn't know, most of the titles to my blog posts before this are titles to songs I listen to hahaha. Just a random fact lol. I'll also continue this trend in future posts. Btw, Insomnia is a Craig David song from his Greatest Hits album ;D
そしてこれにつづく...
~~~

I haven't posted anything in a long time, thinking of starting again. Maybe because I'm seeking a reprieve for a wandering mind filled with useless thoughts. Haha, that means that most of the posts in this blog will be quite negative(?).

~~~
Why is it that I always want to search for something to appease my thoughts when I truly know that the only solution is already within myself. Although, what if I actually feel like I don't know what I'm looking for? Is it a feeling of accomplishment I seek? Or is it something else?
If it's accomplishments, I can sit here and list out a shit-load of stuff that I've accomplished and quite proud of. But why is it I always feel that there's something missing?
Everytime I ask myself that question, I'm compelled to delve deeper into myself. And the deeper you go, the darker it gets. Like the depths of a cave. It feels dark and ominous. Easily, you can turn around and escape the cave, forget it where ignorance is bliss. Or you can continue down into the cave, hoping that there is a light at the end, or else be doomed to the darkness for the rest of your life.
Have you ever asked yourself "Why?".
It's the basis to my life.
++ The World Is F I L L E D . . .
如何してこの世界、
僕の醜く生活はつづける
Why do we ask questions?
To learn, it is human nature.
Why do we pursue knowledge so eagerly?
To evolve and grow, it is human nature.
For what purpose?
Civilizations were able to exist in the past, why do we find it a necessesity to continually advance.
Is it not that in creation, we cause destruction?
This planet, this beautiful natural phenomenon we call earth, will be destroyed.
Ridden with human inventions.
Destroyed by human intervention.
We continue to evolve so that we continue to live.
So that we continue to exist,
at the expense of this planet.
But once again it is asked, for what purpose?
Are we so egotistical as a species that we do everything we can to continue to live
and then neglect the damage we do to other species, or even the planet?
But isn't it only natural for us to want to continue living?
That would mean that it is our existence that is destroying this world.
We continue to live, by which we continue to destroy.
So then, how is it possible to stop this from happening?
Is there a reason to exist?
An existence of destruction?
Is it an absolute necessity for our existance?
No.
Then, why do we exist?
Meaningless thoughts.
For all the acclaimed values of intellectual openness, was it really worth it? Was the gain of sophistication worth the loss of what had formerly given structure and meaning to one's life? After all, anything could be questioned. Once set in motion, the process of questioning could come to but one end, the erosion of conviction and certitude and collapse into despair.
Life is long, there will be pain but life goes on
But if you rather stay at home
Let me do you a favour
I'll ask the sun to shine away from you today so you can cry
If that's what you want, alright.
"
I know you are nervous
But take it from me
'Cause you deserve so much more than you receive
Listen to your heart and let it show
Don't hold on to your pain
Just let it go, let it go
Don't have to stay with someone that makes you cry
You'll end up killing all the love you have inside
Can't hope to see the sun
If you don't open your eyes
Girl, don't let real love pass you by
How do I say, "Hello,
How do I say, "You're beautiful
I wanna use the right words to impress you
Mujer Bonita, how do I say?
How do I say?
Words would fly right from out of my mouth,
out of my mind into your heart, into your life
++ Back to What You K N O W
Just a little update
Not much really happened
But let's see where this gets us
~~~

So after this whole convention and artist alley thing happened, I've pretty much been drawing everyday. I want to get back to how I used to draw, not necessarily the technique but the familiarity i had. I used to be able to pick up a piece of paper and sketch happily what I had in my head, but now its a bit harder than that. I'm getting a bit rusty, I hope. I mean, I technically haven't been drawing for a half a year and a bit on paper, so of course I'd expect something like this. Too much digital i think.

Anyway, not much else worth noting happened, except working a crap-load. Ugh, it's getting a bit much lately, but I'll cope with it.

Hmm, let's end with a little "25 random facts about me" thing a friend gave to me:

1. Most important thing in my world is my family. Friends are family too!

2. Music and drawing are my life, dancing is my wife.

3. My favourite colour is red.

4. My goal is to own a multi-million dollar earning company.

5. There's only four people I'd turn gay for in this world; Usher, T.I., Robin Thicke and Me! (No I'm not gay you ASS)

6. I'm a deep thinker. I can spend days thinking on the most random of things; from what I want to eat tomorrow, to how life began.

7. My mind is creative, it's just that my hands don't listen.

8. I learn new things everyday. Even the smallest of things can give the biggest of lessons.

9. Still misses Japan.

10. Sometimes I think I'm too smart for my own good.

11. I'm only doing this cos I'm THAT bored.

12. I wait all day, then I wait all night.

13. I'm soft and smushy on the outside, but on the inside I'm a mother fucking killer.

14. I keep a lot of things to myself, A LOT.

15. I never show how pissed I really am. I always stay happy, even on the shittest of days.

16. I've always craved to get into a fight. I sometimes feel like I just want to fuck someone up.

17. You don't want to see me when I'm angry.

18. If I ever get angry with you, you really must've done some fucked up shit to get me that pissed.

19. In my whole highschool life, I've only ever been truly pissed at someone once. Every other day I spend smiling.

20. I forgive people easily. The person I was pissed at that one time during highschool, I forgave the next day, we good buddies still =]

21. When it comes to friends and family, I always remember things to the littelest thing. When it comes to school, I forget the minute I walk out the class.

22. I used to have a lot of dreams when I was younger. Nowadays I hardly ever get one.

23. I'm an aspiration type of guy. I always make goals and do my best to obtain it.

24. I love cats! But, I'm also allergic to them... T__t

25. I'm glad that this things over and done with =D

OKAY ANYWAY, I'm now honestly thinking I should delete this later. HAHAHA

~~~
Haha, that wasted too much of my time
I could've done something more useful to me
Well, I'ma go shower now anyway
++ Long Live The G A M E
Today was fun
So much to say
But I'll keep this one short...ish
~~~

As I mentioned yesterday, I went to the con today! Hahaha, wasn't expecting much to come from today, but in the end I really enjoyed myself. I'm not the type to be really into the stuff that happens at a con, like the cosplays/screenings/sales/competitions, but the thing that really caught my eye was watching as artists drew their customers.

I spent a majority of my time there talking to the artists that were selling their stuff there. I really feel inspired to look at the works of these people. I really admire how they can do something like that. How they draw these pictures and get them professionally printed to sell at the con. It may not be career thing, but I really enjoy looking at those that take it as a hobby and genuinely love drawing.

I really wish to be in that position one day.

Two artists that really caught my eye was a 24 year old guy and a 16 year old girl. I talked to them two the most, and learnt a lot of things from the. The guy was doing portrait drawings for his customers whilst the girl was selling postcards, prints, stickers and other things like that. I really like the drawing style the guy had. It's something similar to how I want to be able to draw, so I'm currently keeping a close eye on his progress. The girl is a real inspiration. She's so young and she is able to manage her own stall. Also, I actually really liked her drawings, ended buying quite a bit from her, hahahha. I also managed to grab both their emails, so I'm happy about that.

Okay, so now that you know I spent most of my time at the artists section, let's move onto what I bought there.

First, I bought quite a few things done by the local artists here. They really inspire me, so why not? I bought 9 postcards, 2 posters, 1 original drawing and a local artbook. I am really proud of buying the GunGrave Artbook! I've been a fan of Yasuhiro Nightow for a long time! I love his Trigun and GunGrave series. He served as one of the inspirations during the time i was still learning to grasp my drawing abilities. Hmm, oh and I also bought a DVD called Takeshis', a movie made by Takeshi Kitano about himself. I am a huge fans of his movies and I own a boxset of all the movies he's directed up until Zatoichi, his 2003 feature film which won numerous awards internationally. Takeshi's came out in 2005, so I haven't got it yet. I'm really looking forward to watching it. Oh, also, I really loved his "Dolls" movie. If you haven't heard of it yet, I suggest to look it up. It's a really touching story(ies).

Okayy, I guess that's enough or today.

~~~
Hmm, was that short?
Maybe not short enough??
Pfft, yeah I tried my hardest, so it better be short!
++ Whatever You L I K E
Hopefully this will be a short one
If not, then I guess I still got a long way to go
But I'll get there... WITH MY NEW LAPTOP!
~~~

Yeah that's right, I got a new laptop! Yay, hahaha. I bought it yesterday. I got it using the scholarship money I'll be getting from the university I'm going to. But since I don't have that money just yet, my bro has gone and paid for it initially. I'll pay him back as soon as I get the money in the bank.

Oh yeah baby! The Lenovo SL500. A nice little business/multimedia notebook thats just good enough for me.

I don't play any games on my computer and only really use it for my designs and artworks, so I'm really happy with what I have!

Haha, it feels good to be typing away from the couch on a little make-shift table infront of the television. So comfortable, compared to the rock-hard, old-ass chair I used to sit at on my computer table. The piece of shit computer still sits on the same table at the moment, I don't think I'll be doing anything to it at the moment. I'll just keep it there and use it whenever I'm not using the laptop. But I don't know when that'll be, I'll be on the laptop most of the time now.

Ahhh, today I just stayed at home, a comfort I'm lacking a lot lately. Just to sit back and chill with a bit of music while surfing the net or whatever. I was just lying down on the couch with the air-con blasting away from above on full blast. Oh it felt so good.

Oh, and tomorrow, I'll be going to the local anime convension for the year with my cousins and a couple friends. I'm gonna be buying quite a few things, mainly artbooks/manga or anything art-related since thats what I'm mostly into. I can't wait to see what stuff is going to be there. Maybe I'll get some photos?

Well until then, see ya.

~~~
Lessee, my budget for tomorrow
I think it'll be around the $200 mark
Maybe that'll be too much? Hahah. No, it IS too much hahaha
++ Let's Stay T O G E T H E R
Wow, so a month has gone by
Haha, I try and try to update
But I always fail, hahaha
~~~

I think the reason why I don't get to updating my blog as often as I'd like is because I tend to blog on a bit tooo much, and it starts getting a little laborious to type it out. I guess I'll start practicing to type a little shorter, maybe on the more interesting things rather than anything I can think of. Hahaha.

Okayyy, well, a little catching up.

It's been an alright month. January, the first month of the new year. It wasn't as exciting as I'd hoped but it was fun. Well some things that happened this month (from the top of my head):

Paintballing
Work
Birthdays
Shopping
Work
Got accepted into uni!! WOO
and work

Oh? I already mentioned work? Well, maybe that because IT'S MAINLY ALL I'VE BEEN DOING THESE HOLIDAYSS.

Omgsh, how lame hahaha.

Rolling in the cash, but to be honest, I'm starting to miss having a free weekday where I can just do whatever I want. It's starting to become the weekends that I'm looking forward to. You know? One of them monotonous, boring, every-day routine type of lives.

Well, with uni starting in the coming month, maybe things will start changing?

Hahah, I hope so.

Okay well, on to some news I'd like to talk about! =DD

YAYYY

Soooo, I'm doing a new drawing, something that I'm liking how it turning outt. It started out as a sketch I did just for fun a month or so ago and I liked it enough that recently I decided to pick it up again and start colouring.

I could go through the whole process, but I don't think I'll get too into it. Anyway this is it:

It's so fun to see how far I've come since I started drawing about two/three years ago. I remember struggling to draw pictures the way I wanted, there'd always be something making it look really bad in my opinion. The face, the arms, the legs, the hips, the hair, there'd always be something that would really bug me. But I can now start saying that I'm glad with the progress I've made and I hope I can continue like this and maybe I can really start doing things I'd be really happy with within the next few years.

Okay, I guess that's enough for today.

Byee~

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!

I LOVE IT ALREADY x]

Which pretty much makes me want to buy her a present THAT MUCH MOREE.

Also, today marks the final day of 2008. A lot has happened this year and I've seen a lot of growth in myself this year. I'll definitely never forget this year. So many memories made.

I hope 2009 brings just as much too.

See you all next year~

Anywayz, moving on. I've pretty much summarised my days since my last post up there ^^^^^ so yeah, lets just move onto 2 days ago and yesterday. 2 DAYS OF SHOPPING =DD

YAY~

So Monday shopping was.. well, pictures speak loud
er than words, so heres what I bought! =DDD
First up is the shirt and sunnies I bought. Also a jumper in there cos I needed a new one anyway. I find that buying jumpers in summer is cheaper than buying them in winter. More people want jumpers in winter, so shops hike up the prices to get more money out of people. PFFT AND YOU CALLING ME DUMB FOR BUYING A JUMPER IN SUMMERR! DDD< style="color: rgb(255, 102, 102);">A nice pair of aviator-esque looking glasses. Needed a new pair since my old ones almost busted.

AND THEN, THE BUY OF THE DAY~
-drumrollllllll-TADA~!

I BOUUGHT ME A NICE PAIR OF CHUCKS <333

A pair of white leather Converse shoes.
OH I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A PAIR, and i gotta love post-christmas salesss. Hahaha, today was a real bargain, though I won't get into specifics in prices. BUT OMGSH, SOOOOOO HAPPY WITH MY SHOES.

INFACT,
I wore them the next day when I went shopping againn.

Tuesday I wasn't really expecting on doing anything, but I ended up going shopping again...
since I'd already spent most of the money in my wallet the day before, I didn't really buy much. I actually intended on buying a few birthday presents for a couple of my friends since I had enough money anyway.

So first thing I ended up buying was two nice pairs of khaki pants. I already own one pair, but needed to get me some more hahahah. Next up was shopping with my other friend for her birthday present. My cousin came along aswell, so the 4 of us walked around a bit looking for something to buy her. In the end, we decided that we should head out to the city if we wanted to look for a birthday present for her. Maybe some other day then? =/

After that, me and my friend split with the two girls and
headed back to my place to play some games. He stayed at my house from 2:30 until 10:30. We ended up playing Fallout for the PS3 for 7 hours, hahahaha. Had the biggest headache after that...

Anywayz, I think I'll end it there..
byee~!

++ Better Late Than N e v e r

Gosh, I've been soo busy these past few days

Finally can take a breather

Let's see if I can summarise it all in this one post

~~~
Ok, so I've been reallyyy busy lately. That's why I haven't blogged about myself recently. Gotta catch up, so less talking and more doing!
Well, three days ago, that was my last post. Since I've talked about most of that day, let's talk about something I didn't mention. THE SHOPPING! =DD
Haha, well, I only bought two music albums, but it was still funn. I bought Kanye's "808s & Heartbreaks" and T-Pain's "Thr33 Rings".
I never thought I'd buy Kanye's album, but I thought it'd be good. Some of the songs on that album ARE addictive and DO get stuck in your head in a good way, but I hope that it's nothing more than just a 'concept album'. Having just ONE album like this is fine to me, but anymore than that and Kanye's off my list of favourite artists, period.
T-Pain's album is quite good actually. I've wanted to buy that album for a while now, and since I had the chance I thought I'd grab it. I absolutley love his "Chopped N Skrewed" song, one of my favourite songs and really does show T-Pains producing talent. He's gotten a lot of crap for using the Auto-tune, people keep on questioning his credibility because of it. But this song really does show what he can do and no one else can't at the moment. Other songs of note are his other two singles, "Can't Believe It" and "Freeze". Also, "Therapy" with Kanye is kinda hynoptic to me, it gets stuck in my head. Another really really good song is "Change", one of my favourites actually, next to "Chopped N Skrewed", it also show T-Pains talent to make songs. It's different to his other songs as it's more of a ballad and meaningful one. I'll keep it short and say that the rest of the tracks are okay so far, might have to have another couple listen throughs to get more thoughts on the other songs.
Anyway, so the next day, it was my brothers second last day at our home before he flew off. The day was busy because we organized a BBQ for him. So a lot had to be done. Apart from that, nothing much else happened. That pretty much took up my whole day.
Yesterday was an eventful day. First, I had work to go to. Woke up at 7 in the morn to get ready. Work was the same stuff. But we had to leave early that day and pick up Y-niisan from home to send him to the airport. Before that, our boss (as in the boss for us 3 brothers, hahaha) organized a nice lunch for Y-niisan. It was the first time they had the chance to catch up. My boss really is a good man, he's helped out family out so much, especially us 3 brothers. He's given us good jobs and never doubted us.
After the lunch, we sent Y-niisan tot he airport. Him and his wife are heading back off to Japan for another year or more. I already miss him, but that day was a little more tolerable than when he first left to go to Japan last year. He should have arrived back in Japan by now.
So, from there, made a pit-stop back at work before my bro dropped me straight off at the shopping centre to watch a movie with my cousin and her friends. Embarrassing to say, but we watched Twilight. Blame it on her, hahaha. Sorry girls, it's not really my 'type' of movie. We ate out a little after that too. It was pretty much 2 guys and 5 girls, a little awkward since I was introduced to two of the girls just that afternoon. Haha, but they're all cool.
Got home and I was soo damn tired. Didn't do much else before changing and heading off to sleep.
Anywaiz, that brings us to today. I've got shopping plans with a friend of mine. So I guess I might blog about that later tonight or tomorrow.
Until then.. I'm off to get ready, he should be here soon.
~~~

Good to finally get those days off my back, haha

Only recent update now is...

I need to find the other sock... where'd it go >____>

++ Always Remember T h e m

Today was another tiring day

I can't believe how long it's been

I can't believe how quickly it has gone

~~~
It was a slow day today.
I had to think about a lot.
Maybe that was why it felt so slow.
Our family went to visit my late grandfathers grave today. He passed away last year in April, about two weeks after my brother Y-niisan left to stay in Japan. So we went together as a family for him to finally be able to pay his respects. It must have been hard for my brother back at the time of my grandfathers passing, since he had only just begun adjusting to his lifestyle in Japan and really couldn't do anything but pray for our grandfather and the family from there.
It would have hurt for him.
Because it sure did for me.
I can remember those first seven days so vividly. I can remember how my aunty's house was filled with friends and family, paying their respects. I can remember the day we had to bury him. I can remember, in the early morning, receiving the phone call from my aunty of the news from the hospital. I remember the days before he passed away, the day he laid in his own bed, trying very hard to remember me and my brothers names. How he tried to hold my hand as I asked for his forgiveness for all my previous sins. How all he could do was nod as we gathered around him, our eyes filled with tears knowing that it wasn't long now.
I still remember his face so well.
He was my grandfather.
Our grandfather.
Today, it was my brothers turn to ask for his forgiveness. It took him more than a year and a half, but he was now finally able to do it.
We spent about half-an-hour to an hour there. Then, after paying our respects to other passed close family-friends, we decided to head off.
Before, my cousin and his wife invited us to eat at their house for lunch at 2pm. It was a little too early, so we decided to do a little shopping to kill some time. I'll talk a bit about that stuff in another entry..
So arriving at our cousins house, the first thing i noticed was all the new furniture. It was a new house, so they only recently furnished it all. It's a really nice house. So we all sat down on the new couches and my cousin took out the Wii and Rockband. It was so much fun.
Afterwards, my brother was talking to my cousin.
It was about his wifes mis-carriage.
She was a bit over 5 months when there were some complications. They showed us pictures of the child. They showed us his little footprints and hand-prints. They were so small. I could see that my cousin was finding it hard to keep from crying when my brother was going through the pictures. It was tough for their family.
Unbelievably tough.
This brought me not too far back to the day I had to watch him having to bury his own son.
It was hard to watch.
It was most definitely harder for them.
That family has seen far too many deaths to people so close to them over the years. Not saying it doesn't affect me, but it effects their family so much, much more.
In my cousins life-time, he has had to bury his Grandfather, his Father and even his Son. He's only in his late 20s.
He's way too young to experience these things.
But this just means we have to appreciate our families that much more.
Always treasure your family.
and Always remember those who have passed.
I love my family.
~~~

I'll leave it at that for today

I'll blog about what I bought tomorrow

I need some sleep now

++ Legs Aren't Meant To Be Used For W a l k i n g

Today was nicee =DD

In a way, it was fun to do something together as a whole family.

Shame that it involved a lot of walking...

~~~
Today, I woke up to all this commotion in the house. It was 10:30am.. 10:30AM!!! So early =___x
LOL
Nahh, I thought I'd have a little sleep in, but I wanted to know what was going on. I got up and went to ask my mum what they were in a rush for. Apparently they all wanted to go shopping together. They didn't even bother telling me about it! D=
Bah, in the end, I told them I wanted to come along. So I had to quickly get ready and then we were off. It was a nice day out with my two brothers, my mum, my sis-in-law (heh) and my other bros girlfriend. We pretty much did some random shopping around some different places. Apperently my family absolutely enjoys discount stores. Hey, not like it's a bad thing, it's just that the ones they go to are like big-ass warehouses that you need something like a golf-cart to navigate properly.
It was kinda fun though, cos it seems my sis-in-law (heh) also seems to enjoy discount stores. Haha, my brother told us that one time, when they were shopping at one in Japan, he decided to go home early but she wanted to continue shopping so he went home first. She ended up coming back about an hour later..
I guess she'll fit in just fine with us cheap-asses ;D
Heh..
Anywaiz, after that, we went home to relax a bit before my bro, Y-niisan, wanted to head off to play soccer with a couple of his old buddies and catch up with them. So I had to keep his wife company and go walk around Fremantle with her for a bit. It was nice, cos I never really got to talk to her much and get to know about her better. She's really nice, I like her =]
I'm glad my bro married her.
So yeah, I was pretty much dead tired at the end. Leg's felt like they got run-over by a steam-roller multiple times. I needed to sit down.
And that brings me here.
~~~

I log onto msn, and what do I see?

A couple loser friends!

Heheh, nawww, I love ya's! ;D

++ Just Keep F i g h t i n g

Bah, another late night tonight..

I think it's become a habit for me to sleep so late at night.

Or maybe it's 'cos I'm blogging too much? Bahahah

~~~
I was told yesterday that I had to work today by my brother, so I wasn't expecting to see the time was 10am when I woke up. Yesss! A day off work!! Things were looking good for me from the beginning. I didn't feel like waking up at 7am to get ready for work today, because I was pretty much dead throughout the day when I did that yesterday.
So anyway, I was enjoying my eventless day at home, relaxing about doing absolutely nothing worth noting. Hopped on the computer to flick around on the internet. By about 11:30, my mum called my mobile to make sure that I was awake and not still in bed, asleep. Then, right after I hung up, the home phone was ringing. It was my brother, he told me he forgot his briefcase at home and that he was coming back to pick it up so I could come with him to work at the office today.
NOOOooo!! T___T
And I was starting to enjoy my lifeless day too!.. D=
Bah, so I ended up having to go to work today. Same story as last time, cept I was less tired because of the couple extra hours of sleep.
Finally, when I got home, Y-niisan (eldest brother) was finally home from his 3-day mini-vacation. I was pretty tired, so I just decided flopped myself onto the couch and took a little nap. Afterwards, I went onto my computer again and signed onto msn.
Strange, but lately a lot of my friends have quite a few problems that they've had to deal with recently. It's becoming a trend or something.. but it's a bit upsetting to see people you care about having to go through things like this, so as a friend I always try my best to help them out a bit. I try my best to give them my support, and try to give them some appropriate and helpful advice. It's a bit mixed when I say this, but I enjoy helping people out when they need the help. I say its mixed because I don't like seeing my friends in a situation where they need to 'ask' for help in the first place. Also I say that because sometimes the problems they have affect me way too much. I try to get myself so involved to help them from their problem that it starts to feel like I have the problem, and then it becomes more about 'me' than about them.
Nonetheless, I always try my best to cheer up my friends.
I've heard from my cousin and a couple of my own friends that I'm a good person to have a 'talk' to. Apparently I give good advice..
Haha, I don't know, I just say whats on my mind most of the time.
Bah, anyway, after a few talks with a couple friends of mine, I decided to head back to my Nocchi drawing and touch it up a bit. Spent about 30 mins to an hour on it. Just fixing up bits and pieces. Like I said before, it's slowly getting there.
I guess that's pretty much all I have to say today. It's 2am now, my usual 'sleep' time lately. Bahaha, it's definitely becoming a habit...
~~~

Sleep, sleep, I'm so sleepy =___=

Why did I decide to blog so late at night?

Gah, I'm getting too addicted to it I think x___x
